While visiting A&M this weekend my husband did take me to Goodwill for a few minutes (HEAVEN)  …. I always have to think WHAT the heck is wrong with me that I find so much pleasure spending 30 minutes in a thrift store.  It is always a treasure hunt and a challenge!

Well, whatever it is I am thankful he was willing to give it to me!

We also drove through country back roads to get there and came across this eclectic café, I just had to share a few pictures. 🙂

I am married to an Aggie, being from Oregon I didn’t really care but I have found out that it is a BIG deal if you live in Texas, you are either for Texas or an AG.

Honestly, I love to go to sporting events for all the peripheral things going on …. the cheer leaders, crowd watching, “air guitars” on the screen, fights and anything else that catches my attention.

Texas =Big Hair … I grew up thinking everyone in Texas had big hair!  🙂

Ok ... lets start with the obvious ... Texas is known for BIG hair!

This weekend we went to the mens basketball game on Saturday and then the women’s game on Sunday.   I finally asked if I could have a few minutes in a thrift store 🙂   the only thing I could find open on a Sunday was Goodwill.    I love to visit thrift stores in other towns!  First of all I pre-judged, being I was in a college town, I thought the students would clean out a thrift store … I was wrong, there was tons of good stuff!!!!

Decorated Iron Tree for Father’s Day

Aggie Dad Fathers Day Tree

Aggie Dad Fathers Day Tree

The tree is covered with things that are special to Dad ... sports, his college team (A&M), his favorite candy and sweet, enduring notes from the kids!

Awwwww .. I LOVE THIS IRON TREE!!!!!!!    I make it special for every occasion I can think of!  This of course is for Father’s Day so I put up basketball, baseball & football “ornaments”.   His favorite candy bars and an Aggie hat!

The personalized notes from the kids made it extra special!

The basketballs, baseballs & footballs are from the Dollar Tree.  The are actually “Splash & Swim Water Toy’s” that I added hooks to.   The total came to $8.00 for all of them!
