My thrift store doesn’t have stuff like that! (part 1)

My thrift store doesn’t have stuff like that!   (part 1)

This is a comment that I hear all the time and so I decided to stop in at a random Goodwill Thrift Store to see what I could find.

(not one of my normal places I shop and not in a “ritzy” part of town)

This is going to be in a 2 part series, I had to “dig for my treasure” but I found so much!

Right off the Sam Houston Tollway, I have seen this Goodwill Store many times,  so today I decided to stop by.

  1. wow – you are the *best* thrift shopper I know! I have that Banana Republic Skirt in white (also thrifted) – love it! Thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.

  2. You are awesome, cute stuff!! You have to come to Portland and show me how to shop!!

  3. Thanks for the celeb photos too.
I’m not always familiar with those brands.
Whenever I thrifted, I was like
Pippa could do so much better and find
    $1.57 or $3.99 finds. I’d leave disappointed.
These are similar prices on West Rd
    to what I’ve seen.

    I’m learning a lot!

    • Use your smart phone to check out name brands …. I was not familiar with the name brand alice + olivia but I could feel the quality of the fabric. I use the ebay app and then I realized it was definitely a find!

  4. Great post. Thrifting is so much fun!

  5. I feel the same way whenever I go to the thrift stores in my neighborhood it’s like I can never find stuff and then I see people like you and others on YouTube finding all these hidden treasures and I’m like I gotta go back and try again. It turns out to be a fail all over again I think j don’t really don’t have an eye for things yet maybe that’s the problem ?

    • I would suggest going through every hanger (with an open mind) and also learn to “feel” nice fabrics … the more you develop this the faster you will become!
