I wasn't sure what this was until I did some research ... It is a vintage ceramic pottery chicken (or rooster) has a hand painted comb, eyes, bead, and feet. There are holes in his tail to hold measuring spoons. Soooo Cute!!! $3.57

Jen and I are often asked “what do you do with all of your finds”?    Most of the time we take pictures to share with you, inspiring you to shop in a thrift store and sometimes we will purchase a thing or two.  Out of all of this I did buy the yellow Lilly cardigan for my daughter.  That’s it!   The rest of it we left for you to discover!

  1. Patti Buser says:

Your daughter looks gorgeous in everything! I hope you stopped by some modeling agencies when you were in NYC!! 🙂

    • Thank you Patti and yes she is GORGEOUS!!! She barely wears makeup, she is a natural beauty and isn’t really into all the fashion stuff. She models stuff for me but she is more into comfortable clothing. pippa

  2. I would have chosen the Lily too! Love everything about it! What size are the shoes, and do you think they’re still on the shelf? Ha ha, kidding…but I do love them!

    • Hi Sue! I didn’t even check the size of the shoes, just the price 🙂 I researched them when I got home and they retailed for $138! Actually I wish I would have bought the vintage chicken that holds the measuring spoons .. I just didn’t know what it was. As always we just take pics of what we like and leave it there. Sometimes I regret not buying a few things. pippa

  3. The chicken is adorable! How do you find the pictures online? I try to research items and can’t find anything. The photos you post are spot-on and/or very similar to the items you found thrifting. Today my daughter and I went to Volunteers of America; they had half-off the whole store. Found a Maggy London dress for $2.50. We got 3 bags for $21.00, one bag full of books for my students, 25 cents each. Great day for thrifting!

    • Lee Ann, that sounds like a score! 3 bags for $21.00
As far as me finding pictures I just start Googling and might change my search description 10 ways until I find it!
Saturday is National Thrifting Day, you got a head start on things!
